I Love the Fall!

Boise looks so beautiful! We went to the park twice this weekend to take family pictures. (Thank you family!!) We took some really good ones. I normally wouldn't stand in front of a camera being this pregnant, but, the setting was so beautiful and it has been so long since we had family pictures taken. Check them out:

Makayla received an Academic Achievement award at school earlier this month. We are so proud of her! She is doing so well in school. We also had parent/teacher conferences and were not surprised when her teacher said she is doing great.

I had a FABULOUS birthday full of spa treatments, a trip to Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs in 3D (and Nathan did great!), brownies (mmmmm - my favorite!), and really nice birthday wishes from friends and family. Jason is such a fabulous husband, he took the day off, decorated our bedroom doorway and hallway with balloons and streamers, scheduled the spa treatments, and made me feel like a princess all weekend! I am a lucky girl!

I am now 32 weeks along and am nervous and anxious for the arrival of our second son. I find myself daydreaming about him often. I wonder what he will look like. I have had terrible heartburn this pregnancy. It makes me think of the old wives' tale that the baby will have lots of hair if the mother experiences heartburn during pregnancy. If the tale has any truth to it, we might have a baby Chewbacca on our hands. :) I am getting uncomfortable and find myself wishing away the pregnancy, but, in the back of my mind I know that being pregnant is much easier than having a newborn.

Introducing....
My Kids Say the Darndest Things
My children crack me up! In an effort to remember all their hilarious words of wit, I plan to add this new section to my blog.

Makayla often uses the words annoy and ignore interchangeably. For example, she instructed a fellow kindergartner to "annoy" the boy who was bothering her on the bus. And she told me that her brain was making a noise, but, not to worry because she just "annoys" it.

Fall has brought pesky flies to our home. Nathan hates them. You can often hear him yell, "shoot fly!" He loves to wear backwards hats and calls them his football melmet.
